Aashish Gupta is the Chief Sales and Strategy Officer of Midrex Technologies, Inc. He joined Midrex in June 2025 after working for Primetals Technologies and predecessor companies for 35 years. At Primetals he served in multiple global roles including Chief Sales Officer, Head of Global Business Unit – Upstream and Chief Strategy Officer.
Aashish started his career in the Iron & Steel industry in 1982 as a commissioning engineer in India before joining Siemens AG and moving to Germany in 1990. At Siemens he served in various roles in Germany and, starting in 1993, in the US including Business Unit Head for Siemens Industry and Executive Vice President for Siemens Rail Automation. In 2012 he joined Siemens VAI in Austria as the Executive Vice President of the global Casting & Rolling business and subsequently served in multiple global roles at Primetals.
Aashish is a graduate of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani, India.
