Timothy D. Carter is the Director of Information Technology and Digitalization at Midrex Technologies Inc., based in Charlotte, NC. In this capacity, he leads the Digital Solutions and Services (IT) team, driving digital transformation initiatives and partnering with company leadership to foster innovation, accelerate business growth, and achieve operational excellence.
Before joining Midrex, Timothy spent 23 years at Corning Inc., where he held a series of senior IT leadership roles that delivered measurable business value. In his final position at Corning, Timothy served as Global Director of Project and Portfolio Management, managing a $200M annual project portfolio comprising over 100 initiatives with oversight of the enterprise digital transformation program.
He holds degrees in Computer Science and Management Information Systems, an MBA with a focus on Finance (UB), a Master’s in Product Development (RIT), and professional certifications in AI (MIT), Executive Leadership (Cornell), Project Management (PMI) and System Design and Engineering (Politecnico di Milano).
